Finally got a chance to blab it up again with John Siuntres on his much-celebrated Word Balloon podcast. We talk about a lot of things, but the focus is on the upcoming (really soon too) Batman 66. I can’t stand to hear my own voice, but John’s always sounds great and as usual he’s a human databank of entertainment knowledge, so listen on your drive some time.

Good interview I just wanted to add a few comments on the Man-Thing. Gerber’s genius was that because the character himself had no personality he used to the Man-Thing as observer to tell different types of stories about people. He is sometimes also a catalyst of the events of the story. Gerber used the Nexus of Reality as a means to tell different types of stories in a different genres make it like a anthology series.

I find your development of the Man-Thing quite interesting. It is also interesting since his origin involved Ted Sallis trying to develop the super solider formula and that is what the Echeleon project is about. Are we going to see any new information about or a retcon the Man-Thing’s origin?

I also wanted to ask if any of the events in the last issue are connected with your Fall of the Hulks alpha, especially regarding the Intelligesta. Since the Mad Thinker was a member of that group in the storyline and is helping the army and since two of their former leaders,i.e. Modok and the Leader turned Betty into the Red She Hulk one has to wonder if these might also be connected with your story.
