Yes We Motobecane
Drove out to Ridgefield, Washington yesterday morning where an old bicycle swap meet was happening at a cool place called The Iron Ranch. It was mostly old Schwinns and a lot of Whizzers, so I didn’t find an old Raleigh 20 Folding bike like I hoped, but then I did bumble across this cool Motobecane mixte, and got a great deal on it. Lots of neat original French parts like the rear wheel has those textured rims that brakes grip well. The rust is coming right off with fine steel wool, so I mainly need to replace these rotten tires and my wife will have a lighter faster bike to ride.
Next up, some old car display out on Division that needs investigating today, but I almost certainly won’t come home with a car.
