Avengers = Whee
Chris Samnee and I (and my family!) got to go to a screening yesterday of The Avengers thanks to the folks at I Like Comics in Vancouver, Washington. I don’t want to spoil anything, though really it’s all stuff you have to see in a summer action-fest like this, telling parts doesn’t really spoil anything. But as everyone’s saying, Hulk does get all the really memorable bits. Not that the rest of the heroes look shabby, they all get good screen time. It is really nice to see Hulk finally done right though- he moves ape-like and translating Mark Ruffalo’s face to him gets you very close to the original Kirby look.
I’m glad I saw it just in time before noon today, when I’ll be at the Hollywood TFAW signing for Free Comic Book Day, because that’s all I’m going to hear. If you’re in the north east Portland area, come by and say hi!
