Thank you Robert Sherman.
Just saw from Mark Evanier that Robert Sherman of the legendary Sherman Brothers music team has died. Barely any days go by where one of the Disney songs they created, or music from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang isn’t played or sung around here. In fact, it’s been a morning ritual lately to play the Tiki Tiki Tiki Room song while driving the kids to school. I put those guys up there with Lerner and Loewe and Rodgers and Hammerstein easily, and their work is an enormous part of what made the Disney films they scored become classics.
