  • HULK vs. ATLAS in shops TODAY

that brady bunch bit never gets old

So go get it, you know you want some green Hulk. In other news…

I’ve heard from a few people who aren’t crazy about these Atlas double shipping months, feeling Marvel is being greedy. It actually is more about how books are approved for a year, and at the time Atlas was given a number for 2009, a couple of which could have been specials or annuals but we opted for regular issues. Either way, same result- we’ve had like three months where you get two issues of the book. I’m not sure, but I think the strategy is that more regular issues on a book launched from an event like Dark Reign helps hold on to some of the more experimental readers. So we get less attrition and help build a base.

Does it help? Does seeing Atlas more often spur you to keep on top of it? By the way, here’s a really nice review of today’s book…

Sounds cool. Unfortunately, I have to get my copy off of Amazon.com so my copy doesn’t ship until the 17th. :-( So thanks for the review link. That plus a few scans on other sites is all I’ve got to tide me over for days.

Can’t believe Marvel is being so slow about adding AOA to the list of books that can be subscribed to. It says something about this books quality that it has survived despite Marvel’s lackluster efforts at supporting it.

All I know is I like getting my Agents of Atlas this often. It helps break up the space between the books that don’t come as regularly. I had forgotten Hulk was showing up in this one, looking forward to that.

Sadly, I’ve just begun preordering online, so I won’t get my AoA fix until the end of the month. Looking forward to it, though. One of the best series from Marvel right now.

I demand unreasonable things!!!!! Like Atlas shipping seven times each month….or All Star Batman appearing on shelves twice a year ;)

If you can keep up the pace I will keep buying it. But don’t burn out! Nobody else can write this book like you! Thanks so much this issue it made me smile several times.

When Jimmy Woo said, “But you need a molted dragon scale on you to deflect the radiation inside, and Mr. Lao is stingy with those,” this comic went from one of Marvel’s best to sheer utter lunatic genius. Well done!

I love double ship months. The more, the merrier…

That’s why I love getting X-Men Forever twice a month.

Sadly, couldn’t get my copy today…. LCS had a bunch of damaged books.

Agents of Atlas, Dark Avengers, Mighty Avengers, more.

Normally I wouldn’t mind more Atlas, but only if Pagulayan/Hardman are in every issue. =) Won’t be able to pick my copy until next week. =(

Marvel’s showed a TON of support for Atlas! They’ve gotten given the book a lot of help by launching it out of Dark Reign, approving guest appearances, variant covers, secod prints, top tier cover artists, podcasts, etc…

Who was busy with a criminal empire of his own…
