  • HEROES Convention This Weekend! For YOU.

One of the all time great comics shows, Heroes is happening in Charlotte, NC this weekend, and I won’t be there. Which eats me, I hate missing that show but I’ve got deadlines to make and it’s not as easy to get to now that I live in the Northwest. I plan to return next year by any means necessary.

If you’re going though, you’re in for good times. And you should seek out Gabriel Hardman and make him sign lots of copies of AGENTS OF ATLAS. He’ll be at the SUPER HUMAN RESOURCES | BOOTH 530 with Corinna Bechko, so you can also pick up their keen horror gn, Heathentown. It’s a new show for them, so bring them some sweet tea and biscuits and say Southern things at them. Once that’s done, you can work your way through the massive guest list of the comics industry’s best.

Agh, this kills. I’ll be checking your tweets and postings all weekend for vicarious experience, have a good time.

Sorry you can’t make it this year, but I hope to see you again next year!

I’m not gonna be there either, sadly.

Well if you’re not going, I’m not going!

Actually, I hope to be exhibiting next year. And partaking of some of the legendary NC humidity. And BBQ.

God, I wish I could find some decent barbecue. In New York, it means hot dogs and hamburgers.

Heroes was, as always, a ton of fun, but you were missed, Parker.

Make sure you drag Lieber along next year!

I will! Next year, I am there. I’ll even go to the DUB show afterward and scope out some spinning rims!

It was funny to hear all the pounding bass from the Dub show in the next hall while they were trying to conduct panels with the writers and artists.

Met both Gabriel and Corinna via the Superhuman Resources route and found them funny, charming and all around good people. Their ‘Heathentown’ is a fantastic book and we spread the good word about it to everyone I met.
