  • Aussie Bees

Here’s an article talking about a lead that scientists have in the Case of the Disappearing Bees. Which appears to be a virus, that thankfully at least Australian Bees are immune to. I don’t know about you, but this whole bee problem has worried me for a while. Because without pollination, them crops ain’t worth a Plug Nickel.

Um, it could have been worse if it involved killer bees? I still remember how years ago people kept worrying that the swarm of African killer bees that got loose in Central America in the 1970s had begun migrating north and would one day soon be crossing the US-Mexico border to wreck havoc on unsuspecting Americans. Which explains why there were so many bad movies in the late 70s featuring swarms of killer bees on the attack. Sort of a B-movie bee movie bonanza :)

The bees could revive with a taste for human flesh?
Zombies are played out, but that just means you die of a cliche.

True, it really was all about killer bees when I was a kid. We used to talk about it at school. I think they never got that far because mingling with laid back southwestern bees watered them down.

Man, the Beekeepers really have us by the short ones now! Always wielding their power…
